Shepherd’s Rest Cottage is situated 1000 feet above sea level surrounded by beautiful countryside in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are footpaths with panoramic views accessible from the gate. An ideal location for walking, bird watching, cycling, fishing or for those wishing to spend time in a quiet tranquil environment. The detached period cottage, built around 1850, retains many original features including exposed beams and curious ledges and shelves created by the mixed construction of stone and brick. There is a small secluded garden. Nearby is Ludlow with its castle and characteristic black and white buildings, internationally famous for its fine locally produced food and the September Food Fair.
