Description

Norchard is on a lane that has no through traffic. Surrounded by 2000 acres of National Trust estate with 20 miles of footpaths, it commands a beautiful view across fields to the Golden Cap, the highest hill on the Channel. The sea is half a mile away and the coast is unspoilt. Bathing and walking are there for on your doorstep. Riding is easily available. Lyme Regis, 6 miles to the west, offers sea excursions in summer as does West Bay, 6 miles to the west, where there are two very good fish restaurants. Bridport, ten minutes away to the east by car, is a charming small town where again there are excellent places to eat. Dorset is famous as the setting of Hardy's novels. West Dorset, where Norchard is, and the neighbouring parts of Somerset and Devon are outstandingly beautiful. They are all so rich in churches and houses open to the public. The villages are attractive and the pubs notably good. Only weekly bookings accepted Christmas & New Year.

Separate bathroom, third bedroom on gallery above is a family room which has one double bed and one single bed.
