The cottage is quietly situated in the centre of the family resort of Burnham on Sea. It lies just behind the buildings of the Esplanade, about 80 yards from the Sea Front and High Street. The easy accessibility of the nearby sandy beach and Shops makes it ideal for all ages. This deceptively spacious accommodation is comfortably furnished for a pleasant holiday. All rooms are of reasonable family size. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, bathroom, with shower bath, and toilet. The master bedroom contains a 5ft double bed, the second bedroom a standard double bed with a cot (folded away when not in use) leading to the third bedroom with twin 3 ft beds. There is plenty of fitted wardrobe and drawer space. All beds have duvets though there are many blankets and bedspreads in the airing cupboard. All the beds are fitted with electric underblankets in the cooler seasons. Bedlinen & towels may be hired. (£3.50 double, £2.50 single - beds made up, towels £1.75 per person including bath, hand & kitchen not beach). Downstairs the kitchen contains table and chairs, so it is large enough to eat in if desired. Its equipment includes an electric cooker, microwave, fridge & spindryer. An adjacent dining room, with T.V., leads to a hall connecting it to a lounge containing another T.V. A small paved backyard with a flower border contains a second toilet and a washing line. A gas combi boiler heats the water, and provides central heating in the cooler seasons. Electricity is separately metered (£1 slot) at the standard charge rate. A car can usually be parked in front of the cottage or at the side of the lane (an unadopted no-through lane). During busy periods parking is available in car parks or on the side of nearby streets – those on the other side of the High Street have no time restriction. There is much level walking in Burnham, the long sandy beach towards Brean or the south promenade then the bank of the river Brue to Apex park, the local leisure & wildlife park (good for dog walking) Cheddar, Glastonbury, Wells and Weston-Super-Mare are amongst the many places of interest within easy reach. Clarks Village at Street is a popular venue for discount shopping. The pursuits of walking, sailing, fishing, golf, rock climbing, riding, and bird watching and those of historical interest can all followed in beautiful rural Somerset.
