Hen Gapel is a well equipped and most comfortable detached, 5 star, stone cottage with its own enclosed garden area and off-road parking. It sits in a no-through lane on the edge of Dolwyddelan village with a stream to one side and enjoys a magnificent mountain panorama, including the Snowdon Horseshoe in the distance. Surrounded as it is by idyllic countryside it is ideal for walking or just chilling out. Dolwyddelan itself is a sleepy little village in the Lledr Valley,arguably the most attractive valley in North Wales, within the Snowdonia National Park. It has a river and a rarely used railway line and station. Whilst being a quiet village it is centrally placed for all that North Wales has to offer. The much better known tourist centre of Betws y coed is seven miles away. There is an excellent village shop which is open long hours,a pub and a small hotel. The accommodation upstairs comprises of a large, open-beamed bedroom with king size bed and a smaller but tasteful second bedroom. Downstairs there is the inviting sitting room with woodburner (some wood provided) and the large, comprehensively equipped kitchen. Heating/lighting/bedlinen/towels are all inclusive. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement. The garden area will contain all but the most athletic animal and the adjoining forestry land is ideal for walks. There is a steep drop, bounded by a low wall, into the adjoining stream. This is potentially hazardous for unsupervised youngsters. We request that no-one smokes inside the cottage.
