The Hayloft, converted from a traditional limestone threshing barn, is a luxurious holiday home in the stunning Cartmel Peninsula, on the southern edge of the Lake District and Morecambe Bay. The Hayloft beautifully combines original features, modern facilities and soft furnishings from Laura Ashley and Sanderson. It sleeps 7 plus 2 in a sofa bed in the galleried lounge. Upstairs, the lounge features luxurious sofas, window seats to take in the views and a woodburner-effect gas stove. There is a light and airy double room and a triple sleeper room with single bed and small double. The tongue-and-groove bathroom has a corner bath, travertine tiles and heated towel rail. Downstairs is a beautiful four poster double room adjacent to a power shower room. There is a further lounge in the fully heated, slate-roofed conservatory. This leads into the open plan kitchen and dining room. The handcrafted oak kitchen is comprehensively equipped and features granite worktops and local slate floors and the dining room easily accommodates 9. The conservatory overlooks a pretty, fully enclosed garden complete with lawn, borders, pergola and lions-head fountain. There is teak garden furniture and a BBQ. A stable has been converted into a Games Room complete with table tennis and darts and Laundry Room with washing machine and drier. There is parking for 2 cars and off-lane parking nearby. The Hayloft is located in Allithwaite, a pretty village within minutes of picturesque Cartmel and the Edwardian seaside resort of Grange-over-Sands. Nearby is award-winning Holker Hall and gardens. Lake Windermere is only 8 miles away and good roads quickly reach the heart of the Lake District and local towns such as Kendal, Ulverston and Lancaster. All this on your doorstep and a pub with open fire down the road! Pets are welcome at £10 per pet per stay.
