Cardinal Cottage is a fine timber framed 16th century property set in rural Suffolk. It is an ideal base for walkers, bird watchers or those wanting a quiet country retreat and for those researching their Suffolk family history. It is within easy reach of the Heritage Coast and the art and music centres in Snape, Aldeburgh and Southwold. The Cottage is fully furnished and equipped to a high standard and comprises: entrance hall: sitting room with television, video and stereo systems and piano. There is an electric wood burning style fire in the sitting room. There are also various board games, books, videos and a radio. This area of Suffolk has a number of attractive and interesting small towns and villages. Snape, with its fine and recently rejuvenated Maltings buildings, is the centre for the Aldeburgh Music Festival and has a variety of other entertainment presentations throughout the year. Dinner cruises on the Alde river start at the Maltings. There are several excellent food pubs in this village.
