Burnbrae is a spacious detached stone built cottage dating from 1895 situated very close to the shops, inns, restaurant and market square. The cottage is set back from the main street with its own lawned garden and off street parking. St. John's Chaple is a pleasant village with a small market square, well served by its half dozen shops, three pubs and two churches. There is a regular bus service to Alston and Stanhope. St. John's Chaple is situated on the A689 Alston to Stanhope road. The house is located 20 metres off the main road, down a driveway, behind the newsagent. Brunbrae is in the centre of the village as the main road passes over and old stone bridge.
