3 Cottages & 1 Farmhouse. Plum Braes Barn has been converted into 3 Cottages; all are of exceptional quality. Situated 2 miles from Kelso, Edinburgh is one hours drive, Berwick-upon-Tweed 30 minutes, Bamburgh Castle 45 minutes away in the beautiful and historic Border's country. Edmonston Farmhouse sleeps 6-10 and offers commanding views over the Eden and Tweed valleys. The house is surrounded by lawn and there is a large garage and paddocks. This is a peaceful and idyllic setting offering riverside walks and a wildflower meadow. The River Eden provides ideal facilities for fishing or just relaxing near it. The only thing that might disturb being the splash of an otter or the green flash of a kingfisher. Close by is the historic, cobbled market town of Kelso, the Abbey and Floors Castle. The cottages offer a variety of accommodation but all retain the cosy and romantic atmosphere provided by log burning stoves, amazing views and French windows openning out onto decking. Oak flooring is common as are Austrian sleigh beds and open plan living quarters. Garden furniture is provided and logs are also available at no extra charge to fire up the stoves.
