Description

For over 300 years, this idyllic thatched cottage has stood at the heart of the lovely and tranquil village of Puckane, beside the shores of Shannon's Lough Derg. Peg's Cottage has recently been restored, taking care to retain its traditional appearance and features (half-gate door, turf/log-burning stove etc.) whilst providing all modern conveniences essential to the modern traveller (large kitchen/dining area and modern bathroom. Our bedlinen is good quality and our towels are white and fluffy. Puckane's village stores and 2 pubs are a minute's stroll from the cottage where traditional live music is a regular event. From Puckane, day-trips throughout Ireland are easily accomplished and also, close by, is excellent walking, fishing, golf, boating and water sports.
